After wrapping up a four-game road trip and heading back home, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be welcomed by some reinforcements.
Forward Jacob Quillan was recalled from the AHL's Toronto Marlies ahead of the Maple Leafs' tilt against the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.
The 23-year-old has made three NHL appearances so far as a sophomore, holding a plus-two mark to go with a 38.5 face-off win percentage and seven hits.
In 28 games with the Marlies this year, Quillan has racked up eight goals and 19 assists to sit plus-eight.
The Dartmouth, N.S. native has yet to register a point through four NHL appearances over his first two seasons.
The Maple Leafs enter Monday's contest on the heels of a 4-3 overtime win against the Winnipeg Jets that improved them to 24-16-8 on the season while snapping a two-game skid.
